FC Rubin reserves boss Roman Sharonov shares his impressions from todya's 2-1 victory
- We arrived here after a bad streak. We could have got better results in all the games but the Samara fixture was our worst performance after the winter break.
Regarding today's fixture, we dominated the game, were good in terms of defense, we played high and were careful from behind in line with the gameplan. There were some interceptions and counterattacks but we did not manage to take advantage. We created chances but not too many, we would lose ball as long as we were not prepared for a shot or key pass
In second half as it was 2-0, we ended up showing off our individual skills and it was more about running rather than thinking or having the flow of the game under control. Football is a team sport. So the closing minutes were quite nervous. We conceded as one of our players broke the rules, a player cannot play like that. There was another chance for the home side as they won a free kick. So we could have lost all the advantage in a few minutes only. All is well that ends well. The players got the message that we cannot play like that breaking our own game. We carry on.
